A breakthrough
in middle-income housing

The Issue

The people who power our county can’t afford to live here.

Many Lancaster residents struggle to find affordable housing, but can’t afford the rising costs of rents in our county. These folks are the backbone of our community: educators, mechanics, EMTs, restaurant workers, bus drivers, retirees, and veterans.

Our Solution A new way to fund the housing

Our County Needs

While there are many barriers to more affordable apartments, project financing has become one of the biggest. We’ve developed a new model—and a goal of adding 350 new middle-income rental units in the next five years.

Our Mission

We serve Lancaster County residents earning 50–80% of the median income by increasing the supply of rental housing they can afford.

Our unique funding model builds and manages housing without using the traditional tax credits, which often add cost and slow progress.
